I want to move to SF; and don’t buy the director’s cut!

So, as I mentioned in my last post, I was off to San Francisco for work, and honestly I really didn’t care. I have heard a lot of great things about SF, but never really thought that they would be true. But now I know that there is a reason why so many people live there, despite the earthquakes: it is beautiful. Also, the weather is awesome! I did have to get some pants while I was there, but I have to tell you, it is really nice being able to wear jeans and a jacket all of the time, and having a nice breeze to cool you off, constantly. Love that. Also, the city is freaking beautiful. I took tons of photos, and I promise that I will post them. Shut up Josh.

I did post one pic of my hotel, which was quite ghetto (check out the photo of the day). But despite the ghettoness of the hotel, I had a great time.

Now, on to this issue about the director’s cut of Alexander. Back when I first heard about it being re-cut and released, I was, needless to say, pretty pissed. See, I heard that they were going to release it without the “gay subtext” the theatrical version has. Well, naturally, that is not only ridiculous, but it shows what a caving, back-boneless coward Oliver Stone is, and honestly, I can’t have that. The movie was fine like it was (albeit a bit long), gay subtext and all. The people that have a problem with them portraying Alexander as bi or gay should really read some history: he was!!! Shocker! He actually was really well known as being bi! Most Greek soldiers were: see, if you love your battle mates, you tend to stick your neck on the line and fight for them… sounds like a great battle strategy; but it does require lots of gay sex… and we all know how that makes some people feel. Either way, it is pretty well known, and I think that if you are going to tell a story about his life, you should include that! Also, for those that saw the movie, there is a pretty graphic sex scene with Alexander and his wife, which was not only unnecessary, but clearly overcompensating. Cut that out! That is what should be gone. Either way… I bought the original theatrical version, and I suggest if you are going to get the movie, that you do the same. That is all!

Seriously, expect the SF pics some time this week! AND!!! Pictures of our bathroom, and front porch that is being built as we speak!!!
