This past Thursday and Friday, Atlanta was ravaged by the hurricane known as Ivan. I do believe that it was down-graded to a tropical storm before it hit good old ATL, but still had bad effects none the less. Now, we were no where near as badly effected as Louisiana or Alabama, or anywhere south of there, but there were lots of power lines downed, and lots of damage from trees downed, as well. Thank goodness it was milder than expected, and we weathered the storm. Fortunately, we don’t have any damage, that I can notice, which is a relief. (for all those out their concerned about my safety)
We went to Tennessee this past weekend, right after the storm broke and our power came back on… which was another relief, how do people live without power?? I mean, I would even turn the light switch on in each room, totally forgetting that the power was out. It is amazing that you can take something for granted like that. As a friend of mine said, when I told him that our power was out and that it was hot trying to sleep, “why not just use a fan?”. That is taking power for granted folks! But anyways…TN was very nice, it was fun hanging out with James’ parents and sister for the weekend. Getting in good with the family never hurts! Till next time kids!
