It’s a new decade, and the great music just keeps coming. It’s that time again, time to make an ongoing, editable list of my top albums of 2010; because you know I’m going to do a countdown at the end of the year, and I like to keep a running list of who’s in the running to make that list. Here’s a quick breakdown of star ratings and whatnot:
The number of stars (out of 5) represents a couple of things: how much I enjoy the album, how much I listen to it, and how good I feel that it is overall. A lot of a total rating for an album goes into how many stars out of 5 each song gets, and then how that averages for the entire album. This makes it more fair, as an album with an amazing song or two obviously won’t beat out an album that is consistently amazing throughout. If something tanked rating wise, just know that it didn’t click well with me for whatever reason; it doesn’t necessarily mean that I hate it with the heat of a thousand suns.
Now that the formalities are out of the way, let’s get to the list of the albums, shall we??
